Takeaways from the Gwinnett County Virtual School Presentation at GAETC.

They offer three different models for virtual learning.  Of the schools I have spoken to, the ones that are successful offer different models.

    This is extremely interesting. It's important for our parents, teachers, and administrators to understand that this is not just a trend but a critical component to a well-rounded school system. It provides differentiation for health, learning, and career path diversities. I think we have a strong format that could grow well and strong, given the attention it deserves. Just like the CEC, it is another choice and direction for empowering students for this fast changing world. I would love CCSS's virtual program to become the best in the nation in the next few years! :)

The Starting Point

       As I prepared for my first year of being an official virtual teacher in our school system's new virtual school, I thought of ways that I can prepare my students for the future, not just academically, but also in equipping them for the innovative society in which we live today.
